Gentleness is the quality of being kind and careful about how you treat people.

The noun gentleness is perfect for describing the way someone acts when they are caring, calm, and sweet to other people.

A good leader speaks to his team with gentleness, and your favorite coach might be one who treats you with kindness.

Gentleness is power under control. Think of a powerful horse who has never learned how to harness its strength for the good of its owner.

The horse is strong willed, combative, and resistant to any change. However, a skilled and patient trainer gains the trust and willingness from the horse to try something new such as wearing a saddle for his owner to ride him. With the control of its power, the horse now runs in record time during the world's greatest horse race.

We can become useful in our leadership when we become meek. Meekness is power under control.
