Greetings,  Leaders.

I am grateful to be associated with a team that promotes trust and personal responsibility in all our relationships.

Many benefits come through trust.

"People buy from people they like, respect, and trust."  Leader

Trust is necessary to influence and credibility, which empowers companies, industries, and relationships.

One of our core value statements is "Trust and personal responsibility in all our relationships."

Steven Covey highlights practical steps in building trust and seeing the impact on outcomes.

"Contrary to what most people believe, trust is not some soft, illusive quality that you either have or you don't; rather, trust is a pragmatic, tangible, actionable asset that you can create - much faster than you probably think." - Steven Covey The Speed of Trust - The One Thing That Changes Everything.

Trust is a distinctive quality of every great leader.

Great leaders build trust with all they serve and lead. It's been said, "By yourself, you're unprotected. With a friend, you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn't easily snapped."

1. Trust in themselves and others.
To be trusted, we first had to trust in ourselves. Our credibility grows as we believe in our ability to impact results and that our motivation is sincere.

"When trust is high, the dividend you receive is like a performance multiplier, elevating and improving every dimension of your organization and your life." Steven Covey's The Speed of Trust - The One Thing That Changes Everything.

Character and competence are foundational. Our nature includes integrity and motivation. Covey suggests a proven approach to testing our cause by asking ourselves why we want or don't want to do something and then asking why that is our answer. Making our motives and intent known builds trust.

2. Trust in others and earn influence.
Leaders extend trust and build trust in their relationships. Trust sows faith and reaps trust in return.
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States and our country's leader during a moral and political crisis, embodies the trusted quality. He worked to earn the trust of those he served.

"If you trust, you will be disappointed occasionally, but if you mistrust, you will be miserable all the time."
— Abraham Lincoln

3. Trust in providence and impact the world.
One person can be the catalyst for trust in a nation, company, and relationships.

The culture has become one of high trust, sharing information, collaboration, and a spirit of cooperation in accomplishing our mission - making IBM the most trusted technology partner of the 21st century.

The value is recognized by clients worldwide. The growth is part of the overflow.

So, what should be our next steps?

"Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them."

It is required [as essential and demanded] of stewards that one be found faithful and trustworthy. Time and providence take care of the rest!

Victory!
