It seems that so many of us are searching for ways to serve God, and in this quest to be busy about Him, we risk busying ourselves so much that we actually dilute our effectiveness to penetrate the culture.

When Jesus was asked in Matthew chapter 22
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Then He goes on to state that “This is the first and greatest commandment.”
Why would He say that?

We all wrestle with doing this with the GOD of the universe Who as spoken in Romans 5:8 that He …”commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

And it's so easy to focus on what we can do for God and we get so busy about what we can do for him that we forget the very first commandment that Jesus himself gave us to love him and to love him with everything that we are. and I think it's good for us to ask ourselves what is that look like? How do I apply it?

How do I seek him everyday all day and instead of him being an integral part of my life he be the center of my life?

When love for our God overflows in our heart and life, it's not so much “I can never DO enough as it is, I can never GET enough of Him.”  It's being completely at rest and satisfied in Him; yet, seeking Him more and more.
