Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) uses the concept of a reasonable, emotional, and wise mind to describe a person's thoughts and behaviors. The reasonable mind is driven by logic, the emotional mind is driven by feelings, and wise mind is a middle-ground between the two.

Wisemind in short, is finding that perfect balance between REASON and EMOTION.

When we live in Wisemind we can finally utilize both reason and emotion, taking the middle path in developing that proper level of emotional sensitivity and that UBER COOL Keanu Reeves calm, cool collectedness.

In WISEMIND we use all three STATES OF OUR MIND. Think of it like this…

The three states Are:

Emotion mind

Reasonable/ Rational mind

AND WHEN THEY MERGE THEY FORM THE VOLTRON LIKE WISEMIND!!

Each mind is different and is usually depicted as..

REASONABLE: Cool, Rational, Task-focused. When we are in this mind, we are ruled by facts, reason, logic, and pragmatics. In this mind VALUES and FEELINGS are not important.

EMOTIONAL MIND: HOT, Mood-Dependent, emotion-focused. When in emotion mind, you are ruled by your moods, feelings, and urges to do or say things. Facts, reason, and logic are not important.

But in WISEMIND… We find the wisdom within ourselves, we see the value of both REASON and EMOTION. We bring in the LEFT and RIGHT Brain together and we finally walk the middle path of BEING TOTALLY RAD!! Like Bodhi in Point Break!!!
