Jeffrey Deskovic, spent 16 years of his life in prison for murder and rape of a high school classmate.  He was just 17 at the time of his conviction. Through DNA testing Jeffery was eventually found innocent. The real rapist and murderer, already serving time for murder, confessed to the crimes when confronted with conclusive DNA evidence.

Knowing the real perpetrator is now behind bars, the victim, 15 year old Angela Correa, and her relatives may find some peace.

In this interview Jeffery talks about the nightmare he went through and how, since his release, he’s reframed his life by setting up the Jeffrey Deskovic Foundation, which advocates for wrongly convicted prisoners and reform of the American criminal justice system.
