Anton Ferdinand, a well-known footballer who played for West Ham United and is the younger brother of former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand, became involved in one of the most significant racial cases in football history involving former Chelsea captain, John Terry. After speaking out about the incident, Anton faced severe backlash and only played another 13 games in the premier league before moving to Turkey to continue his career.
In November 2020, Anton shared his story in the BBC documentary "Football, Racism and Me," which has had a positive impact on many people. Anton is committed to guiding his son through the football world while also serving as an ambassador for Right to Play, an organisation that impacts the lives of young players.
He is passionate about helping young footballers avoid negative experiences and showcase their abilities on the pitch. Anton also educates aspiring footballers on financial literacy and raises awareness about mental health in the sport. His deep understanding of the pressures and scrutiny that come with being a Ferdinand motivates him to be a positive force for change.
