On Second Chance Podcast Jack opens up about being perceived white, despite his father being black and his mother white. He shares the story of the first time he experienced racism and the offensive comments and remarks made in his presence, by those who did not know he was the son of a black man. His perspective of racism has made Jack determined to speak up and out about racism whenever he can.

He talks about the tough decision he made to step away from a promising football career to become a TV personality and a reality star on Love Island.  Jack was an Islander on Season 4 of Love Island and describes the show as a competitive game.

Posting pictures on social media of a happy go lucky Jack for his fans, when in fact he was ill in hospital is the kind of pressure fame bestowed on him. His brush with death from a serious illness that lasted for months sent Jack on a spiral of depression as he sought answers.  He found a way out and the determination to live his life and inspire others.
