Noal was sentenced to life imprisonment aged 23, despite the fact he did not actually inflict the stab wound that led to the victim dying. He was released from prison 15 years and 2 months later, aged 38. During his time in prison he developed a wellness programme through yoga that he taught to fellow prisoners and staff. Although he is out now, he goes back inside to teach because he says when he needed it most no-one was there to help and so he wants to now provide the help he so desperately craved in his moment of need.
