Key Insights:

"What if you were put in the kingdom for such a time as this" is a quote from the Book of Esther that serves as a great reminder that you don't have to wait to start leading. You can lead now right where you are.
When you work for a growing company, organization, or church, at some point you have to make the switch from practitioner to leader. In other words, what does it look like to transition from the "do-er" to the leader? Must be able to delegate authority and not just tasks.
Leaders clearly communicate goals (or outcomes) and then give team members authority to creatively accomplish those goals.
Does your organization have a "culture whip" who is responsible for infusing values throughout the organization? The senior leader models the values, but the whip keeps those values out in front of the team.

Quotable Quotes:

"No matter what role you're in, you should always be thinking about how you can add the most value to your organization so you can live out your mission." - Holly Tate
"There's no magic formula for staff values, but the must describe your team when your team is at its best." - Holly Tate
"Fun is a byproduct of a healthy team, but ultimately the goal is to have a healthy team producing healthy people." - Holly Tate

Leaders Are Readers:

Holly recommends you read Culture Wins: The Roadmap to an Irresistible Workplace by William Vanderbloemen. Also be sure to check out The Power of Moments by Dan & Chip Heath.

Take Action:

If you've never discussed organizational culture with your staff we want to encourage you to take a step and begin the conversation by asking your team to reflect on the last time your team was on fire and to describe the characteristics that describe your team in that moment.
