Our search has remained in the North East and we’ve struck a very rare find. Martin Scott made 17 Premier League appearances for Sunderland during the 1996-97 season and even scored in the Wear-Tyne derby during this famous campaign. Scotty talks us through his big money move (£750k!) from Bristol City to Sunderland at Christmas 1994, and the even bigger drive he had to make north to sign for his new club. From smashing Peter Reid (his manager) in training to taking an early bath with Paul Stewart at Highbury, and loads of caper in between, it’s another classic dribble down Memory Lane.
