SDGC Live 2/18/21 ft EllieJoyPanic - Finally, a Nintendo Direct

Reset the clock! We've had Mini Directs, Partner Directs, Indie Directs, and franchise-specific Directs, but for the first time in ages Nintendo has finally given us another large general Nintendo Direct. While the 50-minute long presentation was packed with announcements, we try to focus on what we thought were the highlights, like Mario Golf, No More Heroes, and Splatoon. We also talk about The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and what else we think may be coming for Zelda's 35th anniversary this year. Of course, it wouldn't be SDGC if we didn't obsess over something tangentially related to Final Fantasy, and Project Triangle Strategy ticks a lot of checkboxes for us.

This week we're joined by streamer and friend of the show EllieJoyPanic. Some of you may be familiar with her Twitch channel, or for her frequent work in charity fundraising. In fact, she helped us raise money just recently for The Trevor Project in support of LGBTQ+ youth! We talk with her briefly at the beginning of the show about her approach to streaming. We also ask a few audience-provided questions, and get one spicy gaming opinion that leaves multiple members of the cast speechless!
