S1 E7: "Toast in the Machine"

This week we are firing up our floppy-disc-powered computers to watch “Ghost in the Machine”, the episode most likely to make you nostalgic for the time we were all worried about computer-controlled door bells. We’re talking about whether or not the episode is horribly dated, dunking on Silicon Valley, trying to avoid the blatant 2001 ripoff… ahem, I mean, references, suggesting new professions for Mulder’s loser ex-partner, singing the praises of Sandwich Man, cheering on Scully’s unsuccessful heist, and admiring Deep Throat’s mysterious vibe. Most important of all, the conspiracy of Ben Franklin’s ghost deepens.
