In this week’s episode we are joined by Tom, a qualified GP and leading medical educator. Join us as he shares his journey from the very beginning and the obstacles and challenges he faced. We discover how he developed and honed his passion for medical education and what set him on a path to founding Zero to Finals. Learn how to manage your time appropriately and why we should all embrace our journey instead of rushing to consultancy.

We spend time sharing the role of a GP and why it is such an awesome career path yet so often regarded as a lesser specialty. Tom tells us why he pursued to become a GP and why it is the best of both worlds regardless of your interest and hobbies outside medicine.

Tom Watchman is a newly qualified GP working in the Greater Manchester area. He studied medicine at the University of Manchester, where he also gained a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in medical education. He stayed in Manchester for his foundation and GP training, and used this time to complete the MRCP (UK), DCH and DRCOG diplomas. Since finishing his foundation training, he has built Zero to Finals from an idea to a widely used educational tool. He spends almost all his free time creating educational resources to help people study medicine.
