Professor Asif Ahmed is the founder and CEO of MirZyme Therapeutics, an early-stage biopharmaceutical company with globally granted patents to develop drugs to prevent preeclampsia. He is a British biomedical scientist and has discovered two protective pathways to stop preeclampsia during pregnancy. He founded the Aston Medical School in 2014, which was the first medical school to be established in the city of Birmingham, England, after a period of 200 years.
