The Hamilton Today Podcast with Scott Thompson:
One local Hamiltonian is testing out the idea of renting out a trailer for $700 as a living space – essentially treated as an apartment. The Canadian Taxpayer Federation says that the start of a new year is the perfect time for Trudeau to make a resolution to “slim down” that “bureaucratic belly.” The Emmy Awards are tonight! Are you going to be watching? Alberta’s power issues: are they a sign of what is to come? No more 50% off sales for items on their last day at Loblaw’s stores! An unstable home build in Hamilton’s North End had passed all previous inspections by city building inspectors, until an off-duty city building inspector noticed the home under construction on Ferrie Street East appeared unsafe and immediately notified the city, late last week. Immigration Minister Marc Miller says in the next few months he'll be looking at the possibility of putting a cap on the number of international students living in Canada, but he wouldn't say how great a reduction the government is planning on making. We look at the latest fallout from the murders of Honey and Barry Sherman.
