The latest in our series of interviews with Scottish footballers who have played outside of the UK.
We talk to Johnny about coming through the Dundee United youth team before breaking into the first squad after loan periods with Forfar Athletic and Raith Rovers. After a decade and almost moving abroad he left to play in the English Championship with Derby County for 5 years. He then moved out to the US to his current club Sporting Kansas City. We also chat about his international career with Scotland and the difficulties of traveling between continents and his determination to do so to represent his country.
