Euan McLaughlin is an up and coming musician from Leith, now based in Glasgow. Euan studied at The City of Edinburgh Music School for 6 years and then briefly at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Having already gained some recognition with his bands Lapwyng (Danny Kyle Award Winners 2020) and Baile as well as touring across The UK, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Australia with various different acts and performing at major events such as Celtic Connections, Celtica Valle d'Aosta & Festival Interceltique De Lorient, Euan has now launched his own project. Euan also features on a number of other peoples recordings including releases from Lewis McLaughlin and Vulin.

Euan's debut single 'Askival', described as "a harmonious blend of Scottish fiddle and pop arrangements", was released in June and picked up immediately by radio stations across the UK, France and Canada including BBC Radio Nan Gaidheal. The single features the talents of Tiernan Courell (TRIP) on Flute & Whistle and Stephen Henderson (Dosca, Fergus McCreadie Trio) on Drums & Percussion as well as McLaughlin on Fiddle, Guitars, Bass and Keys. The follow up ‘Southside’ is out this Sunday (13/12) this time adding Angus Lyon on keys.

In August Euan was chosen as one of ten artists to receive a grant to rework the music of the late musician, Fraser Shaw. The resulting music from this, a collaboration between McLaughlin and Dub producer/vocalist Tom Spirals was released online in September.
