Saw a video from  Comics by Perch  over the weekend (https://youtu.be/kdqLzTDJCc4) and something he said got the wheels turning. In the comics industry, what some people attribute to a "woke agenda" could be nothing more than just a lack of skills. People write what they know, and some of them don't know a lot.
And that started a spiral: why aren't the creators in charge of these entertainment franchises actually creative? And then... how many of them have actually ever read any of the classics?
