The news hit over the weekend, and it took everyone by surprise. AT&T, after spending billions to acquire Time-Warner, is now re-organizing everything to spin WarnerMedia out for a new merger with Discovery. And even though AT&T still owns part of the new company, the word is that this is their surrender. The telecommunications company is getting out of the media side of things. Lots of shakeups. Lots of news yet to roll out.

The big takeaway: if this deal goes through, it will be possibly the largest media company on the planet. And they're going to own DC Comics.
