In 1968, "Planet of the Apes" was a genuine film phenomenon which meant the studios acted fast to feed a hungry audience with as many sequels as they could handle. The fourth in the original series, "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes," was released on June 30, 1972. Like all good sci-fi dystopias, we're still finding relevance from this one today.
