Episode 82: Theshold Filmmakers Powell Robinson & Patrick R. Young Talk Funny Games (2007)

Grab your golf balls, protect those eggs and get that remote control ready because this is a doozy of an episode. Powell Robinson and Patrick R. Young are the filmmakers behind Threshold, a film shot in twelve days through iPhones that's about the bonds of siblings and evil cults. These two have been friends for years and so the conversation gets lively as we discuss their horror history, how one of them met one of the butts in The Human Centipede and how they shot some of the scenes in karaoke clubs and coffee shops.

Then...ooh boy, it's time to talk Michael Haneke's Funny Games (2007), the American remake of his original Funny Games from 1997. How does Seinfeld, Roger Ebert, Wes Craven and nihilism all come together? You'll have to listen to find out.
