Episode 117: Author Preston Fassel and Beetlejuice (1988)

This week we sit down with Preston Fassel! He's an author and journalist who's written for sites like Fangoria, Rue Morgue, CineDump and is currently the managing editor for Daily Grindhouse! He's also an Ippy Award winning author who's written Our Lady of the Inferno and The Despicable Fantasies of Quentin Sergenov. His latest book is Landis: The Story of a Real Man on 42nd Street about the Sleazoid Express writer who lived a legitimately fascinating life. We were blown away by the knowledge Preston brought on the little known man and hopefully what he shares will have you purchasing the book because it's legit awesome and informative.

After discussing his history with horror, a fantastic Scarred for ADULT Life story about Sinister and his creative works, we dig into Beetlejuice (1988). We discuss sand worms, horror homages we missed when we were younger, how *disgusting* Beetlejuice is, the iconic cast, the existential dread of death and so much more.
