Theranos & Elizabeth Holmes - Blood, Lies, Money & Sex Pt.2

Its been 10years of lying about a box that goes beep, takes some blood and performs 2 of the 200 tests it purports to be able to do. 

We have lost Theranos staff to suicide,  we’ve had lawsuits, we’ve had political and influential people investing, we’ve gone from raising $6million in a year to now being valued at $9billion. 

Theranos is squashing potential threats with legal litigation to protect what they call trade secrets by using the dirtiest lawyers in America in what can only be described as verging on illegal tactics.

Staff and ex-staff mental health is in shatters, Walgreen has implemented the box into a select stores and Pfizer are reputed to be using Therano’s medical marvel The edison on cancer patients.  Media are loving this blonde blue eyed standford dropout Elizabeth Holmes who has disrupted the healthcare world.

But there is a storm a brewing. 

We left off last weeks episode with Dr Clapper and his blog called the Pathology Blawg, who has been contacted by the late Dr Gibbons wife (DR Gibbons was the licensied head scientist at Theranos) and Elizabeth Holmes family friends who have sued and been sued by Theranos for patent infringement.    

Dr Clapper sensing this is quite a big deal after hearing their stories has sent the story to someone he believes he has the resources, time and investigative know-how to take on a $9billion dollar corporation.
