#288: Scuba - Camaraderie of Airsoft: A Journey Through Mud, Gear, and Night Games

Who knew mud could be so life-changing? After a mud-drenched first game, my love for airsoft was ignited and I've been running, and occasionally slipping, around the field for nearly two years. . We'll take you back to our days at the Driverwood field, reminiscing about the camaraderie, the thrills, the unexpected fitness challenges, and the laugh-out-loud moments.

We'll also get into the nitty-gritty of gear, from the deafening noise of an EG 67 grenade, to the experience of playing a CQB course in a prison near Gloucester with sledgehammers and silhouette charges.

Hear about the ingenious wheelchair-bound player who attached an airsoft claymore to his feet, and the unexpected challenges of running up a hill while being chased by cartels. And in a nod to my past football training, we explore why being fit for the game requires a different kind of fitness and the essential role of a good pair of boots.
