In her new book, 'Reaching Through Time', historian and author Shauna Bostock embarks on a journey to find her family histories, sifting painstakingly through private and public records. Along the way she uncovers startling details about her family with links to slave traders, a great Indigenous cricketer who bowled out Don Bradman and many other illustrious and less fortunate ancestors. Along the way Shauna also discovered untold truths about the cruelty of the Aborigines Protection Boards and other administrative bodies from the colonial era to more recent times, as well as government obfuscations to access records.
