Great leaders are much more than just a person in charge. Anyone with power over others can dictate to them what to do with no questions asked and demand that it be done. But that’s not good leadership.

Michael Abrashoff was a commander in the U.S. Navy and at age 36, took command of one of the worst ships in the Pacific Fleet. He demonstrated how empowering people under his command would create a culture where people felt valued and heard. As a result, they worked harder, promoted faster and built a team that worked so well together that they went from one of the worst ships in the Navy to one of the best in just 15 months.

Listen today to hear more about Captain Abrashoff's amazing achievements as a result of his leadership style that empowered people.

And ask yourself…Do your people follow you because they have to or because they want to?
