Balance is a popular buzzword when it comes to people improving how they feel about their lives. But so often people view the term “balance” as a need to do less or slow down, when that is not always the case. What balance really means is that each of us must analyze our lives to figure out what we need more of and where we might need to back off. Some people relax too much and don’t accomplish their goals and dreams because they can’t get up and get going. Others don’t take the time they need for themselves and burn out before they reach the finish line. Some people thrive on pressure and deadlines, others work better with time to plan and organize and don’t need those boundaries to stay on track. So stop and take a look at your life and figure out what is missing and what there is too much of, but do it without a preconception of what “balance” looks like, because it’s different for everyone.
