Epic has recently acquired online music store Bandcamp
The purchase is set to expanded the open the world of indie music and development
We can expect a business as usual model as Bandcamp is still going to be a stand alone entity and the CEO and co-founder will still lead the team.
Bandcamp was started in 2008 with it’s artist first revenue model where artists can net 82% of profits.

Netflix and…Mobile Games?

And speaking of acquiring companies Netflix has made an offer to Next Games.
Developers of mobile RPG puzzle game Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales, Walking Dead: Our World, and Walking Dead: No Man’s land
In an interview Netflix’s VP of games Mike Verdu was stated saying that he is confident that “We will be able to build a portfolio of world class games for members around the world”

Silent hill dot com has vanished into the otherworld
It was recently reported that the silent hill domain was purchased by a troll.When you visit the site a tweet by Masahiro Ito ( Japanese video game artist and Art director and monster designer for the first 3 games) is all that's there simply saying “I wish I hadn’t designed Fxxkin Pyramid Head
But this isn’t recent! According to SVG.com an article by Christian Smith reveals that a twitter user by the name of @Omgiamonfire discovered it had been over a year since the site had been taken over.
Is Konami done with the Silent Hill IP? Fuck no! Be on the lookout for those pachinko machines and skateboard boards. Fucking sigh man.
