Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the events.

Suziliene Board, Psy.D, is a licensed psychologist in PA and DE who has been in practice for nearly 20 years.  She completed her graduate training at Widener University.  Dr. Board has spent the majority of her career working with diverse, under-served populations, including adolescents, family and adults throughout the Philadelphia area.  She has a breadth of experience as director of programs in a variety of settings including in-home, outpatient, and residential treatment.  She has specialty focus in treating substance abuse, trauma, and affective disorders.  She currently works for the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Team Leader for women with dual diagnoses (mental health and substance abuse), with a focus on trauma treatment.  Her interests include cultural competent care.
