Kevin Milne was alarmed to hear some Lions fans are basing themselves in Australia for the tour, given the high price of accommodation in New Zealand.
He told Jack Tame that it would be a tragedy for New Zealand if the hotel industry putting prices up too high cost the rest of the tourist industry from cashing in.
Milne says we need to look at a better approach to big events than just "everyone making as much money as they can," in order to generate more goodwill and tourism in between big events.
