We tried watching something we'd never seen and recommended by Tanner, the 1980s Canadian cartoon The Raccoons!
This charming show follows the misadventures of Bert Raccoon as he fumbles in trying to pull off great stunts to please his friends. He makes Evergreen Forest fun, but local crabby millionaire Cyril Sneer has all the money in the world to try and make the forest as quiet as he wants it.
We talk about Bert obliviously intruding on his best friend's marriage, how the show is mostly normal animals except for these unexplained alien creatures, the amazing synth power ballads in the soundtrack, and whether or not Paul Bunyan would be considered a kaiju.
