Chip Jacobs is known for his award winning journalism and non-fiction (Smogtown; The People's Republic of Chemicals). Arroyo is his first novel and it lives up to the quality of his previous work. The novel tackles the rich history of Pasadena, California and is primarily set in the year 1913. The work of historical fiction was released last year. Chips latest book The Darkest Glare: A True Story of Murder, Blackmail, and Real Estate Greed in 1979 Los Angeles will be released in March 2021 on Rare Bird.
