Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded a Dh689 million contract to double the capacity of Hessa Street.

The project will expand the road from two to four lanes in each direction, accommodating 8,000 vehicles per hour. Additionally, a 13.5-kilometer cycling track will be built alongside the road.

Hessa Street is a vital connector for Dubai, linking major highways and popular communities, serving over 640,000 residents by 2030.

The cycling track, with two bridges, enhances connectivity and features unique geometric designs inspired by the surroundings.

This project aims to improve transportation and accessibility in the city.
