Ep. 179 - Saints all but Seal Relegation with Back-to-Back Defeats

How do you cope as a Southampton supporter? After a promising and heart-breaking draw mid week at the Emirates Stadium against title challenging Arsenal, Southampton fail to build on this point by loosing their next two fixtures against Bournemouth and Newcastle United. Under the lights at St Mary's, the Saints slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Gary O'Neil's men, with a Marcus Tavernier goal gaining the Cherries all three points and nearly garanteeing a stay in the Premier League for next season. The Saints then went up north to take on Eddie Howe's high flying Newcastle, where a promising first half lead was taken away in the second, a Callum Wilson brace ensuring Southampton remain 9 games without a win and stay stranded at the bottom of the Premier League table. With relegation all but sealed, the trio discus the Monday night trip to Nottingham Forrest, hoping to drag them into further danger by getting three points away from home, attempting to get a 5th away win this season.
