Ep.164 - Talking Transfers, FA Cup Progression, Carabao Cup Hopes and Upcoming Everton Clash In The Premier League

It's now two wins from two for new manager Nathan Jones* (check the small print at the bottom). This week, the boys start the podcast by looking back on a successful trip to Selhurst Park, with the Saints coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace and progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup. Reviewing the game, the trio analyse the team selection, goals, chants and overall performance. 

With the January transfer window well underway, incoming transfers are discussed, with Mislav Oršić and Carlos Alcaraz brought in to bolster survival hopes. 

Wednesday brings cup action. Southampton face Manchester City in the quarter-final stage of the Carabao Cup, with Erling Haaland rested and ready. The boys have a look at Southampton's chance of progression (trying their best to find a way through to the semi-final) and if anyone should be rested for their Premier League game a few days after.

Finally, that pivotal league clash is mentioned. It's 18th v 20th at Goodison Park. Is this already a must-win game for the Saints?
