The Kings went into Memphis on Tuesday and won a big one against a very good Western Conference team. Despite blowing a 10 point lead with just under 3 minutes to go, the Kings were able to escape with their 7th win in a row. The game was arguably the best defense the Kings have played all season where they were able to stymy the Grizzlies offense for long stretches to get a big lead in crunch time. The Kings however, showed that they still have a lot to work on before they become a winner as they almost blow the game with awful turnovers and mistakes in the clutch. But as Fox expertly put it, it's always better to learn after a win than it is after a loss.

The Kings would unfortunately lose the next game in Atlanta as the Hawks break the King's winning streak at 7 games. The Kings came out a bit sluggish on offense and complete absent-minded on defense. The Hawks built a lead and the Kings then spent the rest of the game playing catch up. The Kings threatened quite a few times in the 2nd half but kept shooting themselves in the foot with bad turnovers, missed shots and just lack of focus. They definitely looked like they were on the 2nd night of a back to back on the road.

It's onto Boston next which will be a very tough game but the Kings did well to come out with 1 win in these 2 games. The Kings are getting better as each game goes on and they're slowly putting all the pieces together. Boston will be a good litmus test of just where they are as a team.
