Kings start their 4 game road trip with a gritty win over the Bulls in Chicago. The Kings overcame a 16 point deficit, 19 TOs, 13 offensive rebounds by Chicago and the referees to take down the Bulls. It wasn’t pretty, the Kings looked like they didn’t have it, but they kept pushing, hung around and capitalized when the Bulls made mistakes. Culminating in an ending game sequence where DeRozan gets a 4 point play to tie the game followed by a game winning 3 by Fox to end the game.

The Kings secure their 41 win of the season and guarantee that they will finish .500 this season.

Kings follow that up a nice gritty win in Brooklyn the next night. The Kings shot 39% from the field and under 32% from 3 and lost Kevin Huerter in the 1st quarter. Despite that, they pretty much controlled much of the game because of Sabonis’s dominance. It was a weird one since both teams are high powered offenses that it was such an ugly shooting game, but Sabonis brutalized the light forwards on the Nets and they had no answer. The rest of the guys did their part, playing off Sabonis and hitting clutch shots when they needed it.

Kings get their 42nd win of the season, and guarantee they finish the season above .500. Really good win considering they were on the 2nd night of a back to back and had to travel quite the distance and switched time zones, yet they came out and took care of business. The Kings face the Wizards on Saturday in DC next.
