Welcome Jedi, Wizards, and Padawans? to episode 8 of Sabers and Spells! This episode takes us Into The Realm of Star Wars Fandom, as we discuss for the first time our own personal Star Wars fandom.

Star Wars has been going strong since it first debuted in theaters in May of 1977. Since then the fandom around Star Wars has grown and grown. In the last 5 years, however, Star Wars has ushered in a new generation of fans.

When Disney bought the Star Wars franchise along with Lucasfilm there was a deep resurgence of fandom from books and comics to the new films and video games.

Many fans just like Christy and Myself over the last decade have found ourselves through Star Wars. We felt it was time to share our Sabers story and why we chose our podcast name.
