In this Quick Bite, Aimee is back to try a Poke Bowl at Asian Kitchen! This is a continuation of our series recapping our visit to Tampa, Florida for our half marathon at the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Weekend!

This restaurant takes a variety of Asian influences and puts a unique, fast, and fresh take on them.  The poke bowl is a refreshing and healthy option with your choice of tuna, salmon, krab salad, or a combination.  We got it with tuna and salmon.  First of all, it looks beautiful.  They say you eat with your eyes first, and with this one, I took one look and I was ready to dive in and taste those flavors! Avocado, tuna, salmon, seaweed salad, pickled veggies, edamame, and rice.  The fish tasted so fresh and light with the creamy texture of the avocado and the salty kick from the seaweed, this was a dish that had so many levels of flavor, more than I even mention here.  I just kept going back for more. (And yes, I did share with the cameraman!)

Be sure to drop by Asian Kitchen if you are in the area.  The food is amazing. (Did we mention they do their own smoked meats, original sauces, and dry rubs for their dishes?)

Be sure to visit Asian Kitchen’s website or their Instagram (which had our mouths watering before we even arrived in the Tampa Bay area!)

Thank you, Lisa, for the outstanding dishes and for welcoming us in like family!
