The FMB decide to pop into the Six-Million Dollar Man series during its twilight years and try to piece together the previous 2 decades of tv-shows and spin-offs while reeling from a surprise, stellar early appearance from future King of Television, Bryan Cranston.

FTVMB: The Day After

Hunker down, start saving your water and hide your babes (Ruths, that is); our hosts relive the paranoia of the Cold War by revisiting the monumental televisual feature-length anti-nuclear PSA that was The Day After. If the sight of Steve Guttenberg losing his gorgeous locks won't make the powers that be hesitate before pushing the button then nothing will. 

FTVMB: Body Bags

Our hosts still refuse to return to the cinema and remain content with televisual approximations of cinema. This week John Carpenter (with Tobe Hooper) willingly lays himself out on the mortuary table for the FMB to dive in and see if they can find that elusive funnybone in this failed attempt at resurrecting the horror anthology.  

FTVMB: Ivanhoe

After a little hiatus, the FMB still refuse to leave the couch and continue their diet of canned cinema in the form of tv movies, this week it's medieval chivalric epic Ivanhoe; thankfully FMB favourites Sam Neill and James Mason are on hand to spackle over any budgetary setbacks.

Next up in the FMB's channel-surfing adventure into the world of TV-movies is 1990's adaptation of Treasure Island, a film stuffed to the gunwale with a criminal amount of talent including pod favourite Charlton Heston as the most piratical buccanner this side of the Spanish Main, Long John Silver himself. next week we flip to the channel showing 1982's Ivanhoe.

Not content with John Woo's latest; the FMB return to the comforting glow of CRT television and check out his 1998 TV-movie/failed pilot, Blackjack, starring Dolph Lundgren. Silent Night

Merry Christmas! Cinematic titan John Woo returns to American shores with his first U.S film in 20 years since Paycheck.  It doesn't take much for Woo to woo the FMB so they are first in line to digest this Christmas-wrapped gift - but is there coal within? No cookie talk but the FMB somehow manage to talk about their favourite milk scenes in movies so hopefully that rounds out the festive atmosphere. next ep: John Woo's Blackjack

The Killer

Midsommar

Four (four??) years after it's initial release; Ari Aster's Midsommar has crawled its way into the FMB watchlist-  almost as if it was inevitable. Does this apparently foregone conclusion dampen our hosts thoughts about the film? In a manner of speaking, yes. Did any of that just make sense? I doubt it. 

Meg 2: THE TRENCH

The mere mention of Ben Wheatley having directed the sequel to 2018's underwhelming The Meg is enough chum for the FMB to come sniffing around and see if there's anything to be gleaned from this intriguing union. 

Barbie

It seems like everyone loves Ken in Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie - but is Ryan Gosling's scene stealing performance truly Kenough? Or could it even Kendanger the stability of the film itself?

Ethan Hunt defies death, biological age and the algorithm in the first volume of Tom Cruise's final [citation needed] adventure for the Impossible Mission Force. Does it stand on it's own two feet? The energy is always a little different when the FMB are in the same room, and the same goes for when the FMB have a unanimous distaste for the film being discussed - those effects become compounded in this week's episode as our hosts get together and talk Sam Hargrave, Joe Russo and Chris Hemsworth's overblown sequel to 2020's overblown Netflix title, Extraction. 

The Great Silence

With a trio of Mario Bava titles now under their belt, our hosts pivot to Sergio Corbucci in their gallavant through Italian genre cinema. Having endured a tepid Spaghetti Western last week, the FMB set their sights on one of the greatest in order to cleanse their palette - The Great Silence. 

The Road To Fort Alamo

They can't all be winners, and the third entry into the FMB's sampling of Mario Bava's career is a bumpy one. He couldn't crack the Western, but the hearts of the FMB have still been marked.

Our hosts, having occasionally dallied into the realm of Italian genre cinema, set their sights on filmmaker Mario Bava in an attempt to deepen their appreciation. First on the table is his 1965 sci-fi horror - "Planet of the Vampires". A good chunk of this episode has the boys attempting to recast the film with Charlton Heston in the lead role.

The boys + Phil tune back into the Fast and Furious franchise and discuss the first-installment-of-the-possibly-three-part-finale that's bringing this gasoline opera to a close. 

Idle Hands

Devon Sawa and the guy that directed Leprachaun 2 give teen movies (and coherent storytelling) the middle finger and a good ol' pantsing with this slapstick stoner comedy that lands almost nothing but has a fun time trying.  next ep: Fast X

Shadow of the Vampire

As is tradition with the FMB, they just can't seem to stay on task; so in an attempt to continue their hazily-defined venture into 2000's horror they've ended up with experimental filmmaker E. Elias Merhidge's alternate-history vampire flick Shadow of The Vampire on the table. next episode the boys attempts to steer things back with Idle Hands.
