Hosts Dallen Stanford & Robin MacDowell are joined by legend Mark Robertson for #RugbyHive Episode 11.

Robertson is the 3rd most capped Scotland 7s player of all-time, scoring 106 tries, with just three other players from his country having breached the century mark. He played on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series across 57 tournaments from 2006 to 2017, with enough stamps in the passport to fill up a Harry Potter novel.

Robertson hails from Melrose, Scotland, the birthplace of sevens rugby. He is also part of an elusive club, with his father Keith representing Scotland in 44 Test matches.

Robertson is an Olympic Silver medalist with Great Britain - playing in the 2016 rugby 7s final against Fiji in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In today’s episode we talk about growing up in a small town, the importance of goal setting and having mentors, representing Scotland on the World Series and how Great Britain won a rugby Silver medal at the Olympic Games with Head Coach Simon Amor.

We chat about his nickname 'Skinny Fat', having the worst birthday date on the planet, and his current contract with ASM Clermont Auvergne in France.

We hope you enjoy and follow us on these platforms!
