Clay Travis Is Not Allowed To Be A Taylor Lewan Fan

Clay Travis has helped RPO in the past. That does not mean we endorse his takes on the Tennessee Titans. His negative feelings towards Titans fan-favorite Taylor Lewan have been public since 2014. I understand being upset on draft night, but Clay Travis has been openly aggressive against Lewan's personal history since the day he was drafted over Johnny Manziel. 

The Titans just drafted a back-up tackle over one of the most electrifying QB talents in college history. I'm still in shock.

To be fair, I wasn't excited about the Lewan pick. I wanted Manziel too because I am an idiot. But I didn't personally, and publicly, attack the guy like Clay Travis did. That's why he should not be allowed to enjoy Taylor Lewan on the Titans.

Lewan is a gem. Probably the most interesting person to play for the Titans in the last decade (no offense Brandon Weeden). It just seems strange that Clay Travis would go so hard on the guy. 

Taylor Lewan also threatened a Michigan undergrad who reported a football rape and said he would rape her again. Really.

All of the tweets above were sent BEFORE Taylor Lewan took one snap with the Titans. Clay Travis took that draft pick personally. He would not let it go even halfway through the 2015 NFL season.

Flash forward to 2018 where Taylor Lewan is one of the elite Tackles in the NFL. We still have not heard one positive thing about Lewan from Clay Travis. Which seems strange for someone that has been so openly negative about the guy.

I'm sure Taylor Lewan is looking for the benefit of the doubt from Clay Travis. By all means, publicly shit on the guy before respectfully disapproving his behavior. For the record, Taylor Lewan was never charged with rape. Clay Travis never tweeted out that information. Which seems 100% shitty. Especially since he tried to get an interview out of him after sending those tweets.

Clay Travis should be forced to hate one of the most likable Titans in franchise history. He brought this on himself. It seems unfair that he could be so over the top about a draft pick and not pay the price. There are a lot of people that hate Clay Travis. I don't, but Taylor Lewan deserves better than that.
