"Foreigner". If I say "foreigner" backlash is immediate. There are no "foreigners" in Canada. Richard is what he calls a "dirty foreigner" and sent email detailing his life in Canada since coming here as an exchange student in 1987. He returned in '89 for a vacation and met and fell in love with a young Canadian woman who is quadriplegic. They have been married for 23 years and have two teenage children (told that would be "impossible"). Richard is about to apply for Canadian citizenship. Loves Canada and his native NZ.
