Huge reaction yesterday and all of it supporting the Prime Minister's declaration the fed gov will appeal the Federal Court decision a woman may wear a face veil while taking the citizenship oath. We revisit the issue with an invitation the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada to join the show and explain why the imam is urging the PM not to appeal the Federal Court decision. And an invitation to a female Muslim listener who sent email yesterday supporting the Prime Minister; and she writes she wears a niqab regularly.The terror attack in Copenhagen which killed one civilian and saw three police officers wounded yesterday was the apparent result of an attack on the life of Swedish cartoonist Lars Virks who stirred controversy when in 2007 he published drawings depicting the Prophet Mohammad as a dog. The Charlie Hebdo, Paris, terror attack of January 7, was also the result of crude cartoons of the Prophet. After the Paris attack I shared an editorial comment titled: Why the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad should not have been published. There was support and there was challenge. Today we'll repeat that editorial and hear the reaction from callers.
