The patient must state he/she cannot tolerate the level of physical and/or psychological pain and suffering caused by an incurable illness, disease or disability. The SCC has given the government a year to present legislation to mirror the court's decision. Quebec's legislation in this regard goes into effect at the end of 2015.Guest: Dr. Catherine Ferrier.
