With the introduction of $10-a-day child-care programs across Canada, more parents have better access to daycare for their children, though the obvious hurdle is the available space for this recent influx. A Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) study published this past week found almost half of younger Cdn children live in a “child-care desert”. That means a postal code that has more than three children for every single licensed space.
