On Tuesday 28 year old Bezhani Sarvar is alleged to have entered Edmonton city call carrying a long gun and incendiary devices described as long guns. Sarvar, according to Edmonton police statement "once inside City Hall he lit several handheld incendiary devices, believed to be Molotov cocktails, that caused one small fire outside an elevator. He then fired several shots from a long gun into the ceiling, walls and windows." There is reported to be a video, writes Joe Warmington of the Toronto Sun, in a column which also appeared in the Edmonton Sun, in which Sarvar is believed to be heard citing "this genocide that's going on in Gaza and throughout the world." The voice on the video, includes "we will rise up against you guys, and we'll put you on trial." Rambles on about climate change, taxes and more.
Joe Warmington wonders why this assault at Edmonton City Hall has received so little attention nationally. Joe's column is headlined: "This was a jihad-like terror attack in Canada that no one seems to know about."
AND
Joe added to his columns about goings-on in Alberta on Thursday with one headlined "Tucker Carlson drops bombs Alberta won't soon forget" as the former FOX News show host, appearing at an event with premier Danielle Smith, as well as other conservative figures in Canada and making remarks challenged as homophobic and far-right American. The premier is as well as targeted by federal Liberals and federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh for appearing with Tucker Carlson.
Guest: Joe Warmington. Featured columnist Toronto Sun/Edmonton Sun.
