As Canada is set to introduce a carbon pricing (tax) system, we might want to consider what the Australian federal government said, in 2014, when it repealed its own carbon tax, writing "The repeal of the carbon tax will directly benefit households and businesses by placing downward pressure on prices, particularly electricity and gas prices."
The AU carbon tax required "about 1000 pages of primary and subordinate legislation."
