Bridget: 🍑🍑🍑🍑 Harper was a G. I liked that she was a badass. Loved the thrill of the arena and fighting. That she was smart and found the weak points of the bigger opponents. How she and Raiden worked together. And that she accepted she couldn’t go home and made a new life for herself.

Shani: 🍆🍆🍆🍆 I liked him. He gave her the business, told her what to do in bed, and they had a cat and mouse primal feel to their play that I loved.

Synopsis: Harper is an Earth space marine who gets abducted by the bad aliens alongside a few other earth women. She gets beaten and starved then sold as a slave to fight as a gladiator in the Kor Magna Arena.  

She’s bought by the House of Galen, but all is not as it seems, and rather than slaves, she finds a patchwork family of aliens bonded in the mission to save innocents sold to the sands. She falls for former prince and champion Raiden Tiago who wants revenge against the Thraxian aliens who destroyed his planet and stole her. And when she sees her former friend held captive by the Thraxians, she abandons her attempts to find a way home and fights to free her.

It's an easy story to read, though I found Harper kind of boring at times. Her kick-assery didn't quite overshadow her I'm-all-alone-whininess-on-repeat for me. Raiden was pretty one-dimensional, but I found that I liked him that way; it made me laugh. "I want your mouth on my cock. Now." She got up on her knees. "I don't like bossy men." "Harper, suck my cock." See? It's kind of endearing in a way...
