After a decade of turmoil brought on by constant war, Biblical-like plagues, natural disasters, and the wrath of lesser gods, the Forgotten Realms has largely returned to a normal way of life.
Despite this, The North has plunged into a two year long perpetual winter after the chosen disciples of the Frost Maiden, Auril, failed to capture the settlements of Ten-Towns in Icewind Dale. In the northern city of Waterdeep, the normal, peaceful streets of the City of Splendors, has been rocked by violence at the hands of two warring factions. And in the east, rumors of war have started to leak out.
In the middle of it all, three adventurers find themselves in a mysterious valley...
